If there is one word that I could use to describe my current feeling so far is, tired.
I am constantly pushing myself to be better, to go after that dreams of mine, to achieve great things that I know I am set to have. But, everyone knows that you can’t pour from an empty cup.
I am taking a breather. I am taking sometime to recharge now by writing.
While I am sitting at my dining table typing away, my little kitten – Biscotti is peering curiously on the tapping sound I am making on my keyboard.
He is cute and his antics fills up my day.
I am slowly recharging.
And then I looked at the kitchen counter and saw a plate of cookies that my husband baked for me yesterday.
My heart fills with love.
I am really recharging.
There is a strong wind outside, and here I am, in my apartment, safe and warm.
I feel blessed.
I am recharged.
All, I am saying is, oftentimes we get so down and overwhelmed by everything that is happening inside us and surrounding us. Take a few quiet moments for yourself. Reflect. Look around you and look for things that you are grateful for.
It might sound cliché but the attitude of gratitude is vital in keeping us sane and motivated. One step at a time. One grateful thought at a time.
