How do you define success in your own terms?
For me, success means that
– I am living my dreams and life fearlessly.
– I am surrounded by my love ones.
– I am able to have choices.
– I am healthy.
– I am financially stable.
So how do you define success?
Not so long ago, I came across this quote:
I reflected and it resonated so much to me on a personal level. I truly believe that in order to be successful in life, you need to lose these top 3 bad habits:
1. your excuses,
2. your laziness and
3. the need to blame others.
Once upon a time, I had so many excuses on why I can’t be successful, or read more, or eat healthily. But once I started to lose all those petty excuses, that’s when I started to see the improvements and results I wanted in my life.
For the longest time, I was not being accountable and discipline enough to take control of my life too. I let “destiny” and “luck” to control the outcomes of my life and I often envy others who has better body, career, life or anything better than me.
I blamed my genetics for having a sluggish body, I blamed others when things didn’t work out as I want.
I learned that the secret to a happy, fulfilled and successful life is that I need to take control of my life.
I need to learn to remove the 1001 excuses I have been telling myself. I need to put effort to see improvements in my life and most importantly, I need to stop blaming others and let others control my life.
I see everyday people around me who just wait, and keep complaining about how life is unfair to them and how their life sucks. They refuse to admit that the results and outcomes of their life are basically based on their words, actions and responsibility.
It is easier to be lazy and just complain all day long about life and others. It is easier to live small, in debt, and in misery. That’s why success really do not belong to the lazy.
It’s all up to you. Your choice now. My advice to you is: Stop being like these small minded people. Live life fearless and abundantly.
Once again, success is really not for the lazy. To obtain the level of success you need or desire in your life, you need to show up and take action!
Stop wishing, stop wanting and stop desiring but take action.
It’s OK to start small – baby steps but never let life, people or circumstances to drive you to your success because it’ll never work! So, take the steps needed to conquer your life and lead a happy and successful life that you’ve always wanted – TODAY!
